Fatboss also have some Legion Alpha raid testing pre-view Guides available to watch on all 10 videos. Changes will have been made in places. There should be a few new threads & guides possibly up before the Eu head in to the raid on Wednesday for anyone that is keen to watch videos only ( slackers! )

Tichondrius

Tichondrius is a four phase encounter in the Nighthold. Most of the fight involves light cleave while damaging the boss. There is also an intermission phase that involves a "dance" while cleaving down weak adds. Phase Three and Phase Four are identical to Phase One, however, they introduce new adds to the fight that will affect positioning and your groups tactical approach to the encounter. The fight tends to favor ranged as none of the adds can be tanked on top of the boss, making efficient cleave impossible for melee.

Bloodlust usage on this fight is very flexible. It is recommended to use it after Illusionary Night ends when as many players as possible have obtained Essence of Night for maximum damage. It can also be used to deal with Felsworn Spellguards or Sightless Watchers if you are struggling to kill them.

Tanks

⦁ Avoid tanking adds within 30 yards of Tichondrius due to his Vampiric

⦁ Take the Tainted Bloods away from the boss after being marked by Tichondrius' Feast of Blood.

⦁ Avoid the Nether Zone placed by the Felsworn Spellguards.

Healers

⦁ Pay special attention to the players afflicted with Carrion Plague.

⦁ Have healing cooldowns prepared for the detonations from Brand of Argus.

⦁ Quickly get out of the group and dispel Burning Soul Icon Burning Soul when the Sightless Watchers are present.

DPS

⦁ Players afflicted with Carrion Plague should position carefully to avoid hitting multiple people with Seeker Swarm and potentially spreading Carrion Plague to other members of the group.

⦁ Spread out and safely coordinate detonations of Brand of Argus with the healers to avoid fatalities.

⦁ Quickly kill Tainted Bloods after the tank has moved them out of range of Tichondrius' Vampiric Aura.

⦁ Quickly kill the Felsworn Spellguards and Sightless Watchers present in the later phases of the encounter.

⦁ Quickly kill the Phantasmal Bloodfangs present in the intermission phase to gain Essence of Night Icon Essence of Night.

Everyone

⦁ Ensure your group is evenly spread behind the pillars during Echoes of the Void to avoid being killed.

⦁ Avoid Tichondrius' blasts of Carrion Nightmare during the Illusionary Night phase.

⦁ Beware of Ring of Shadows, cast by the Sightless Watchers.

Spellblade Aluriel

Spellblade Aluriel is single phase encounter in the Nighthold. She will alternate between her 3 Elemental masteries; Fire, Frost, and Arcane. These act as pseudo-phases of sorts; each element will alter her base ability set significantly, requiring different positioning and adaptations in order to survive.

It is recommended you use Bloodlust on the pull for maximum damage

Tanks

Stack on each other in front of the boss and perform a taunt swap after each Annihilate Icon Annihilate.

Healers

Pay close attention to the raid as detonations occur during each elemental phase, as the raid may take heavy damage.

DPS

Quickly eliminate the Fiery, Arcane, and Frozen Enchantments that spawn during each elemental phase, as they are lethal to the group.

Everyone

Transfer Mark of Frost to fresh allies when the damage is too high to sustain.

Move away from Detonate: Arcane Orb to avoid being killed.

Interrupt the Pyroblast casts from the Fiery Enchantments.

Loosely spread in Fire phase to avoid being hit by Aluriel's charge when she applies Searing Brand.

There isnt to much in the way of Guides right now but there is plenty out there to get the basics and what to expect. I hope and we expect Every raider to show up knowing what to expect from each Fight and what best specs would be most suitable for each also. NightHold is out First Tiered Raid and so lets Step this up :)

Copied over and edited to from Icy Veins for Easy reference On the night of the fight i will post some of the Basics to get the best from our Time this coming Wednesday -

Overview of the Bosses

The Nighthold is a large instance, featuring 10 bosses total, 5 of which can be killed in an order of the raid's choosing.

Skorpyron

It is recommended to Bloodlust so that it will overlap with Exoskeletal Vulnerability for the entire duration so the group will deal maximum damage. *

*During this time, healers should also help deal damage.

Tanks -

Pick up any adds spawned by players or by Call of the Scorpid

Break the Arcane Tethers immediately after each Arcanoslash.

Dps -

Quickly deal with the scorpids that are spawned from players or Call of the Scorpid.

*Pool cooldowns for Exoskeletal Vulnerability to deal maximum damage.

Everyone  -

Avoid Focused Blast.

Hide behind the Broken Shards during Skorpyron's Shockwave.

*Stay away from the edges of the room, as it will cause additional scorpid adds to spawn

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chronomatic Anomaly

The second encounter in the instance.

The Chronomatic Anomaly is a single phase encounter with a unique twist. The flow of time shifts as the encounter progresses, which causes the timers on the boss' abilities to change, along with the attack and casting speeds and cooldown reduction of the raid group.

*Bloodlust usage on this fight is very flexible. It is recommended to use it when the  Passage of Time is increased and a Waning Time Particle is alive.

Tanks -

Taunt swap every 7-9 stacks of Chronometric Particles to avoid Chronometric Overload.

Interact with the Temporal Rifts after killing a Waning Time Particle to gain a  Temporal Charge, allowing you to interrupt  Power Overwhelming with a  Temporal Smash.

Tank any Waning Time Particles that spawn.

DPS -

*Interrupt the Waning Time Particle's casts of  Warp Nightwell.

Eliminate the Waning Time Particles as quickly as possible or the raid will die from Power Overwhelming.

Get away from the group when Time Bomb expires.

Healers -

Heal up players afflicted with  Time Release to reduce the damage to the raid.

Have cooldowns ready for  Power Overwhelming as it deals high damage that increases over time until interrupted by a tank's Temporal Smash.

Everyone -

*Pay attention to the Passage of Time as it affects the timers on all of the debuffs, casts, and timers the boss performs. It also affects your attack and casting speeds and cooldown reduction.

Avoid the Burst of Time casts to reduce damage taken.

Avoid the Temporal Orbs to reduce damage taken.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trilliax

Third encounter in the Nighthold.

Trilliax is a 3-phase encounter in the Nighthold. This is a high movement, single target encounter that mostly focuses on environmental awareness. While it is mechanically uncomplicated overall, it can harshly punish players who make mistakes.

Bloodlust should be used when engaging Trilliax, as there are few mechanics taking place and movement is at a minimum.

 Tanks -

Stack together for  Arcane Slash and perform a taunt swap every 2 stacks of the debuff

Kite Trilliax around the edges of the arena to avoid the  Arcane Seepage.

If necessary, jump on Scrubbers to prevent them from finishing their  Cleansing Destruction cast.

Healers -

Plan raid cooldowns for  Mana Rupture.

Pay special attention to players with  Toxic Slice.

Everyone -

Avoid  Arcane Seepage pools.

Eat a  Toxic Slice to get a debuff, but avoid getting 2 stacks unless you have personal cooldowns ready.

Stack on your partner if you are afflicted with Arcing Bonds.

Avoid Annihilation during the Maniac phase.

Eat a Succulent Feast, if assigned, and soak the Scrubbers to prevent them from finishing their Cleansing Destruction cast.
